In order to illuminate the seriousness of the abuse of older people, Hourglass works with policy and decision-makers to consult and shape legislation and guidelines aimed to alleviate forms of abuse and neglect.

Hourglass also pushes its own policies and lobbying strategies, with work tailored to the policy landscape of each constituent nation.
