Bothwell Castle Care Home is registered to provide a care service to a maximum of 75 older people. There
were 63 residents living at the home at the time of this inspection. The home is a purpose-built care facility, situated in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire. The home forms part of the Bothwell community, is set back from the main road and is close to local shops and amenities.
The home is arranged over three floors and all bedrooms have en-suite wet room facilities. Residents have a choice of lounges, dining rooms and outdoor areas they can use along with their visitors. We carried out an unannounced follow-up inspection to assess the progress made with a requirement identified at the inspection on 13 September 2021. Covid-19 restrictions limited our ability to inspect against the four areas for improvement identified previously and these will be assessed at the next inspection.
